We’re very excited to announce The Northern Key will be recording our second full-length record in Seattle with Jason Goessl of Slow Skate! We will be recording the record Memorial Day weekend.
To help fund it, we put up a Kickstarter page. This way, we can pay for recording/record pressing costs with pre-orders, as well as other goodies.
We will be pressing a full-length vinyl after we’ve completed the recording. What’s that you say? You don’t have a record player? Well, a digital download of the record will be included with each vinyl pressing and if you’re simply stuck between 1990 and 2002 we will get you a purdy compact disc of sorts if you request it.
We’re really looking forward to releasing and promoting this second record. 2010 was an amazing year for us. We were invited to play Noisepop at Bimbos opening for Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. We also managed to play The Rickshaw Stop with Grand Archives as well as The Independent with The Clientele!
Your donations will help fund the following:
-Recording Costs
-Pressing Costs
-Travel Costs
$2750 for all that?!! How can it be?!! Well, $2750 is the minimum, but we’re hoping to raise even more than that.
Thank you to all our friends and family who have supported us from the beginning and who continue to support us.
We love ya and look forward to sharing this new record with you!!!
